如是大菩萨摩诃萨众，从地涌出——法华经从地涌出品
 
KYCL plans to construct a modern 8-storey Zen centre to provide better facilities to everybody. The construction of the new Zen centre is estimated to cost $4 million. It has already begun in early April and is estimated to compete by the end of 2011. To raise the great amount of construction fund, KYCL is organising many fundraising events this year and next year, including Vesak Celebration in May, 1000-People Meditation and Dizang Ceremony in August, Zen Conference and Workshop in December, as well as Dharma Talks, Chinese New Year Dinners, etc. The highlight for September this year is the Dharma Talks and Concert to be held on 18, 19 September. The organisation of all these events requires the help of many volunteers. So, KYCL hopes to call for interested volunteers to help us in these great events.
 
The nature of the volunteer work can be categorised as follows:
1. Site arrangement: transportation of items, setting up of event site, tidying of event site, etc.
2. Counter: provide event information, promote donation programmes, etc.
3. Reception, ushering: receive and usher guests to and within event site, assist in dinner auction, etc.

禅林计划兴建一座八层楼、现代化的禅林大厦，为大众提供更完善的设施。新禅林大厦的建筑工程，耗资四百万元， 已于今年四月初动工，预计于明年底竣工。为了筹集庞大的建筑费，禅林将在今年和明年举办多项筹款活动，包括 五月的卫塞法会、八月的千人静坐地藏法会、十二月的禅修弘法大会，以及其他弘法大会、春节晚宴等等。今年九 月的压轴活动是9月18、19日的弘法音乐会。要举办这么多的活动，需要许多义工帮忙。因此，禅林期盼能召集志同 道合的义工，一起共襄盛举。
 
义工的工作性质大致分成以下几类：
1. 场务：搬运物品、布置会场、收拾会场等。
2. 柜台：提供活动资讯、推动募捐项目等。
3. 接待、带领：接待嘉宾、带领嘉宾至会场、协助晚宴义标等。
